Resource contouring -> variable allocation per day or week on a single task

Hi All,

we often have changing allocations for team members on a given task - ie no a flat 50% allocation for one task across multiple days. For instance - that person's allocation may be 25% the first day 50% the 2nd and third, 100% the 4th and 25% on the last day of the task. This is known as resource contouring in MS project. How has anyone handled in this in smartsheet?

Hello Andrée,

Smartsheet handles this by splitting out the tasks onto multiple rows. Once the task has been split up, you’ll want to make sure dependencies are enabled on the sheet in order to active the parent roll-up functionality (more on this can be found here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/765753-parent-rollup-functionality).
