Prevent deletion of rows - enhancement request again
I would like to bring this issue back to the spotlight. Many posts (complaints and suggestions) have arrived in this topic in the past (for instance:
https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/prevent-deletion-rows-if-it-contains-locked-cells).
I would really like to see an enhancement that makes rows (data) secured from deletion (be it harmful or unintentional). In the meantime it would be helpful just to see what was deleted. Yesterday I got a notification e-mail with the below text and a detailed table with the changed cells, but only a short note about a deleted row:
"Rows:6 changed rows, 1 deleted row
Rows (changes highlighted in yellow)
[table with changed rows]
Changes made by ...@....com, ...@....com.
...@....com deleted 1 row."
Should I ask the person what she deleted? Isn't that nonsense?
So I would request a very simple enhancement: please, put the deleted rows in the notification e-mail, too.
Thanks,
Atus

Me too.
Column names too for deleted columns.

Hi everyone, I've added your votes to be notified of the content of deleted rows in Notification emails. Thanks for the input!

This, in my opinion is a stunning miss. With no way to prevent row deletion the integrity of the sheet is essentially non existent. The damage that an inexperienced or malicious user can do is limitless - it's beyond my comprehension that this has not been dealt with
