File attachment counted as a change to a row
I currently have two workflows set up:
(1) Payment approval request after an event: employees submit request with invoices attached as a file for approval
(2) Payment approval request before an event: employees submit a request for an approval, the request gets sent to a supervisor, and once the supervisor approves, an update request form is sent for them to upload the invoice afterwards
The first condition, I have my trigger set as "When rows are added"; in the second condition, I have my trigger set as "when rows are changed".
My problem now is that whenever I run the first workflow, IF a file is attached, the second workflow also gets triggered. I have ran multiple tests and have confirmed that the file attachment is the problem: whenever I test without a file attachment, the two workflows run smoothly and do not intertwine.
So does smartsheet count a file attachment as a change to a row? Is there any way to change this setting? Right now the way it is set up is messing up my workflow because the approver is getting two approval request emails because the workflow is being run twice.
