Email Address of a Sheet
I might be mixing up this functionality with a different product but I thought Smartsheet had the capability to email a sheet and the information in that Email automatically gets added as a row to that sheet.
I can't find information on it in the help documentation but I thought I remembered seeing this referenced somewhere a few months ago... but at the time I was comparing Smartsheet to other competing products so maybe it was the other product that had that capability??

Hi Ramsay..if you create a web form and send this out to be completed the sheet is then automatically populated in the sheet from the dat collected from the web form. See below:

Web Forms work in some cases but for a help desk, having an email address is ideal. My hope was that users could send an email (with a user friendly name like helpdesk@mycompany.com) and I would have an automatic forwarding rule which sends that email to something like [sheetid]@smartsheet.com.

I'm not sure about that one honestly..support@smartsheet.com will be able to define this further for you..

Hi Ramsay-- It isn't possible to email rows into a sheet and this is not functionality that is on our short-term roadmap. You might consider using a third-party service like Zapier in the meantime, which allows you to use API tools to easily link Smartsheet to other programs, like your email service. This Zap looks like it might accomplish what you're looking for
