Triggering a Workflow on existing data
Hello,
I can't seem to figure out how to trigger a new Workflow on an existing data set.
I created a Move Row Workflow that is triggered by a change in my Status column and where there is a date present in another column (two conditions).
I am having to change the Status from Completed, save it, then change it back to get the Workflow to trigger.
Is there a way to trigger the Workflow on existing data (Like Outlook lets us run rules on existing emails) without touching each row?
The Trigger is defaulted to "changes to: ". I'd be a non-issue if I could change it to "shows: "
Is there a workaround?

For clarification, I deleted the "and where Status is one of" Completed from the 2nd condition.

Hi Charles,
Did you get it working after you removed the AND?
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic weekend!

@Andrée Starå I am having a similar issue ... I have created a new automation workflow on existing data where I want to move rows to another sheet when status changes to "Complete" but can't seem to get the automation to run on the existing data where status is already set to "Complete". Do I have to change all of statuses to something other than "Complete" and then back in order for the automation to work?

Workaround,
First add a temporary checkbox column & change your automation look for the checked checkbox.
Next add a formula to the check box column =IF(Status@row="Completed",1). Convert to column formula, save.
This should send a notice for all existing completed items. Once the notices go out you can delete the checkbox column and revert you automation.

I hope you're well and safe!
You could add a filter for all completed tasks and uncheck and save and then recheck them, triggering the automation.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!
