Durations Not Adding Up

Some of my durations are not adding up.

3+8+1+2 = 14

 

1 work week = 5 days

 

14 days = 2.xx weeks (depending on how you round it)

 

Is your issue with the "2.5w" should be "2.75w", or that 1 week = 7 days, so this should only say "2w"?

Ok, I figured it out. (My sheets showed the exact same behavior, so I was confused for a bit.)

 

Here is a screen shot showing the same behavior you are seeing. You can see the Evaluation section is populating properly, but the Production section isn't:

 

 

Note that the math is still wrong. It appears that Smartsheet will only add up the durations that actually have fixed dates associated with them. (The Production section should be 6d 2h, but it shows 4.063d because it isn't calculating the durations for the steps that have no assigned dates.)

It helps a lot.  Makes sense.  I also found out recently that SS calculates duration in calendar days not actual days.
