Photo image size when importing via Web Forms
Hi,
Using a “Web Form” to import an image or take a photo adds the image to the attachment column in the row. And the average picture size from my iPad is approx 1.4 – 2.0mb.
Now taking the very same picture via the "iPad App" using, Edit Row / Select Camera Icon / Take Photo… Inserts the picture “resized” into the cell. Perfect and all well and good.
Now the problem for me is in image size, the attachment photo is 2mb. The inserted cell photo when downloaded is 501kb. But is still of a respectable image quality for my tracking needs. I will be importing approx 1800 pictures
So to my question.
I would like to take an image via a "Web Form" and have compression settings control over the image import. Without using a separate image compression app and then importing and exporting photos before uploading.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks

Hello Scott—
We don't have image compression controls built into Smartsheet web forms but I'll pass your feedback along for this on our enhancement request list for further consideration.
Thanks for the input!

Thank you Shaine. It would make such a difference to a large sheet involving many pictures.
