I have a sheet with calilbrated tools and each tool has a specific ID and calibration date. Along with each tool I have attached a pic of each tool. Is there a way to include a thumbnail of the pic next to each tool row when generating a report or viewing it on screen? It would be nice to have an option to display a thumbnail next to each row based upon a size you assign to the column such as 1" x 1" and auto adjust the rows to match the height.
Instead of attaching your image, you can add a column, right-click on the cell and 'insert image'. This puts the actual image in your sheet or report. When you adjust the width of the column, the thumbnail size adjusts with it.
Thanks Dawn for the advice and it worked just fine. I didn't think about adding the image to the cell like you would in excel.
Hi All—
Just wanted to add that only the first 100 images in the grid will print. Since the PDF for print is being generated by Smartsheet in your browser, we want to make sure that no timeouts occur during that process.
If you have over 100 images in the grid, you can select your rows before clicking the Print button in the left toolbar. Details on images in grid can be found in our Help Center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2262003-adding-images-to-grid-view#Working_With
