Using reports (or other methods) to update sheet - security question
Hi there,
I'm fairly new to Upwork. I have worked through a lot of the training material, but I haven't yet covered it all, and I also lack experience.
I have a Sheet with a large amount of client data on it, some of this info is sensitive.
I want to ask several staff members to make contact with each client, then update a few specific columns on the sheet.
If I use forms, then as far as I know, a unique form needs to be completed to update each row, which is very admin intensive, and not practical. Staff need to be able to update in grid view.
If I create a report, with only the columns that they need to see, then it works great, but they are unable to view and edit unless I share the main sheet with them, and make them editors on the main sheet. This gives them access to everything. Is there a better way?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you

Hi,
depending on repeating steps and budget you can use:
1) Dynamic View (premium add on for Smartsheet)
2) Automated update requests
Do you know, that you can configure update requests to run periodically and to which cell from a row should appear in the update form? And you can also group rows into one update request.
Hope this helps
