Pivot App - How can filter a field

Hi there, I'm new using the Pivot App and I was wondering if there is a way to filter any of the fields in the pivot table.

I have an excel pivot table that I'm trying to replicate in smartsheet from a master data that already is imported into my smartsheet. There is a column in the data master named "Current Status" with 5 different options (active, closed, pending closure, etc.), in this case I only want to show in the smartsheet pivot table "active" counts

Any suggestion is appreciated!

In addition to using a sheet as the Pivot App source, one can use Reports. As one possible solution, create the filter you desire in a Report, then create the Pivot from there.
