Adding logic for a question that has multiple options to select and each option has further ans
I just found out that i can only add limited options to a logic-based question (s) on the form
So I have a question that has 8 options for a user to select from and these 8 options expand to 4 each sub-options for them. Now while building this on the form, I am stuck how can I expand these. What I was doing adding logic for each question but it can only go as far as for 4 options. What is the most efficient way to solve this. For example; if the question is: Select the day you will come to office? (My options are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Prefer Remote) Then each of the options has (Morning, noon, evening, night) how can i create this question on the form? I want the sub-options to appear only when a certain value is selected.

Hi @Saadia Ashraf
Hope you are fine, you can create tow dropdown single select column:
1- Day Of The Week contains those options ( Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Prefer Remote )
2- Time Of The Day contains those options (Morning, noon, evening, night)
then you create your form so the user can only select one option from each column.

Hi Bassam, thank you for your help.
I was thinking if there is another way around this? we have too many questions in that format and this will make the form crowded.

@Paul Newcome need your suggestion as well, Paul?

I would suggest separate columns for each grouping. You can then use logic in the form builder to show or hide each grouping.

@Paul Newcome That's what i did i put all the groups for the question under on column and then separated out each option as its own column with sub-options in it but i cant use logic beyond 4 instances.

this is what the real thing is. I want only the options in the bottom to appear when any option from Q7 gets selected.

You can set the logic for when a field "Is not blank" as opposed to selecting specific options.

I did the solution you mentioned above and it showed me all the options in the bottom for video conferencing my idea is when I select video conferencing in first portion I should only get to see the options video conferencing at the bottom.
-
Is there any other way I can arrange these questions on the form. i was also thinking how about if I just list 4 sub options under each option and make each main option as an independent one. For example, video conferencing, select "a,b,c,d"

@Paul Newcome what do you think of this one?

My apologies. I misunderstood what you were wanting to accomplish.
I just did some testing. I set up a multi-select dropdown field with 9 options. I then created 9 single select dropdown fields (one for each of the options within the multi-select dropdown).
I was then able to create the logic within the multi-select that when the first option is chosen, the first single select is shown. When the second option in the multi-select is chosen, the second single select is shown. So on and so forth until all 9 were mapped within the logic of the multi-select field.

Yeah i cannot go pass this
I can only add 4 instances or logics on one question
Not sure why

Are you able to provide a screenshot that shows the exact issue you are running into? Are you getting an error message?

I am going to reinstall the chrome. I think I am having a user-error because i don't see the option for "add logic" after adding the 4th or 5th part. Are you sure if we follow this method it would make the form looks nicer and less crowded or should we go with another idea.

You may just need to scroll down in the form builder. It would certainly make the form much cleaner if you were able to use the logic to hide the unused fields.
