Assign a task to more than one person?
Is there a way to assign more than one person to a task without having to create a whole new separate row or splitting the task into multiple tasks? It seems a bit messy to do so if I have a lot of tasks that will need multiple resources.

Unfortunately there is not. See the post below:

This really needs to be sorted out. In construction projects you always have more than one team member allocated a task. You need to have a task with multiple resources and see % complete for the overall task, and time commitment % for the specific resource to that task. Different resources may have different time commitments across several tasks, and resource loading needs to be tracked accordingly.

Agreed, this is super frustrating that you cannot add more than one person to a task. Could be a deal breaker for my team.

Hello - is there any progress on resolving this issue? It's a terrible hindrance for performing accurate project management. I need to be able to assign multiple resources to one task.

can't believe this has been a request since at least 2015!!! Huh?!?? No progress.

Hi all,
We're pleased to announce that you can now quickly & easily assign tasks to multiple people. To do so, check the new "Allow multiple contacts per cell" checkbox in any contact column. The cells in that column will then allow up to 20 people to be added.
You can still leave that option unchecked when you only want a single person to be assigned to a task at a time.
Adding multiple contacts to a cell is useful not only for assigning people, but also for other scenarios where you want to associate multiple stakeholders with a row. For example, you might want those people to receive notifications when the row changes, or you may want them to appear in reports and filters.
For some projects, you may want to add 2 contact columns: one for the primary owner, and another for additional team members.
We welcome you to try it out and let us know what you think.
