Copy a Row Automation in Control Center

Hello Everyone,

I am recently started working on the Control Center.

In my blueprint, there is one Automation workflow "Copy Row into Completed Sheet". So the Condition is if the Completed task is checked then the row moved to the Completed sheet.

But when I create a new project using the control center then in this workflow the destination sheet is selected from the blueprint folder, not from the newly created folder, so I have to manually select the sheet which may cause issues in the future.

Any help would be really helpful!

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible now to have the Destination Sheet change dynamically, but it's an excellent idea!

I definitely echo the need for a solution to this as well! We have two status sheets that copy rows to a historical status sheet, and we need to manually update the destination sheets every time a project is stood up, and that is very time consuming and has room for error when standing up 300+ projects in Control Center.

Agree, this a critcal need. All our templates have been adjusted to avoid manual updates except this one item.

It's very strange that this limitation exists. It causes lots of issues for Smartsheet users. It was a major issue for us too (Platinum Smartsheet Partner) and so we ended up building a custom tool that does the copy row automation to the correct sheet.

The cost is US$200+ per month, depending on how many projects and automations you have, so for anybody that doesn't want to be manually changing automations (or dealing with the mess when that's forgotten!) it's money well spent.
