Will the Azure integration update email addresses in Smartsheet when there's a change?


The issue I'm running into is when we have an employee that has a name change and their email changes, the next time they attempt to log into smartsheet using SSO, it creates a new account from the new email.

I'm wondering if the Azure integration will automatically update their new email in the account, so this duplicate issue can be avoided.

    The Smartsheet account will not be automatically updated to a different address if your user is logging in with a new email, even through using Azure AD.

    When a new account is created in Smartsheet, if you're on an Enterprise plan you can apply User Merge to bring these accounts together.

    An alternative would be to add the new email address to the Smartsheet account as secondary, then make it the primary and sync with Azure. If the new address is primary in Azure then the accounts will link up.
