How to put in exact dates when tasks have predecessors linked
I have all my tasks linked to predecessors so that dates adjust correctly, but I am now unable to change the date to something farther down the line unless I unlink everything. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix that?
Thanks

Hi @lbell
If you need to adjust a Start Date of a task while keeping it linked to its current Predecessor, there are two ways you can do this.
You can either adjust the End Date of the Predecessor (which would push out the Start Date of this next task) or you can add Lag days to the current task (creating a gap between when the Predecessor ends and this task begins).
E.g:
See the bottom paragraph of this article for information on Lag and Lead time: Work with Duration and Predecessors
Cheers,
Genevieve
