Populate a Form Field depending on a URL

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is possible. We have a website with a list of all our technical documentation. There was an idea, to have a link next to each document, where if they click on that link it will take them to our Smartsheet form to suggest a change. We have a generic form at the moment, with a dropdown list of "some" of the documents (there may be hundreds if we add them all).

The question is: Is there a way to modify a URL to a Smartsheet Form so that it automatically populates a form field with a default value depending on the URL selected?

For example, the user clicks the URL next to "Document A", and the form will already populate the form field "Document Name" with the value "Document A" and so on and so forth.

The only way I can even think to make this a reality would be to create a separate form for each document (hundreds of forms?), where that form field is hidden with a default value of that exact document name. That doesn't sound like a best practice.

However, if someone knows a good workaround, that would be one way to make it easier for the end user to request a change to a specific document, without asking them to find it in a long drop-down list, etc.

Thank you.
