Resource Management Analytics - How do I filter booked days without any notes provided?

Hi,

We are using smartsheet for our timesheets. Every employee is required to provided some notes if he is booking hours on a day. Sometimes the people forget about it.

Is there a way to filter out any days, which are booked but no notes are provided?

Yes! There are a few ways you could do this.

You could set up a filter directly on the sheet, see: Create a filter to show or hide data

Or you could create a Row Report with those same filter conditions: Build a row report & Create Filter Criteria to Control Data in Report Builder

And you may also want to set up Conditional Formatting if that cell is empty or send the Employee an automated Update Request if they leave that field blank.

Maybe I am missing something. But I am mainly using the Analytics section of the ressource management tool from smartsheet. How do I get the tools you listed above? Is this another tool, or do I need to export the data somehow?

Ah, thank you for clarifying! The links I have above are in regards to the Smartsheet application, however you noted you're using Resource Management, which has different functionality.

Unfortunately this doesnt help too much as I know that features.

I am looking specifically for filtering out notes in the reoussrce management tool, or any workaround to do so. So again the question, if anyone has a tip how to find booked days in smartsheet which dont have any notes.

I believe the features listed above are the only current filtering options for Resource Management reports, meaning that I don't know of a way to filter specifically by blank Notes in Resource Management.

You can submit your feature request to the Product team by creating an Idea Post in the Product Feedback and Ideas topic here in the Community. This will allow other users to vote on your enhancement idea!
