Alert Someone automation unable to run
I have a pretty simple automation built that is set to email a specific email address when a value in a certain column changes.
It states that it is unable to run because "this action has no recipients that will be able to receive notifications based on this sheets permission settings or this accounts approved domain sharing list".
I don't understand why I would be getting this message because the email address that the notification should be sending to is a licensed Smartsheet user for our workspace. Any ideas?

Yes. I can get it working on an individual sheet, but when I save it as a template and people use the template to make a new sheet, the automation breaks again.

Same, I'm also trying to figure out a work around for this and yet to figure one out.

This would be a default setting set by as System Admin that whenever a new sheet is created, the automation settings revert back.
