Live Data Connector

While we have a lot of our Team stuff in Smartsheet, we also have some in Excel. Currently, we are exporting some Smartsheet Sheets to Excel for another member of my team to use vlookups and such in Excel. Would the Live Data Connector help with this so as to keep my data in Smartsheet, while letting my Teammate use Excel to pull data "live" from Smartsheet.
