Bridge: Move select columns/attachments/comments to another sheet

Hello all! I'm looking to see if a Bridge workflow can be done with moving/copying select columns from one sheet to another BUT also bringing their attachments/comments over as well.

I've made a workflow to copy select columns from a source sheet to a targeted sheet but never have the comments/attachment follow.

I have a "Get Row" from the source sheet and select Include Attachments, Include Comments in that element but when I use the "Add Row" element to the targeted sheet I do not see an area to add either attachments/comments until Advance Options.

Neither are considered Cells so I won't have Key#s or Value#s to add, Advance cell section only holds specific cell types.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to get those to follow the specific columns and their comments/attachments to move from a source sheet to target sheet?

@MHalvey I don't think this is going to be an easy one. I believe you would have to rebuild the discussion and comments using the API or HTTP Call in Bridge.

You get the discussion when you click include comments, then you need to recreate them using these api calls

You will probably need to utilize child workflows, maybe the JavaScript module too.

Another option is to just copy the row over to include the information, and then update the rest of the cells as needed. But if you aren't wanting to bring extra columns over that won't work.

@Samuel Mueller - I had a feeling so. Thank you for your time in writing out this answer. For now, I'll stick with just general Move Row automations, hide the extra columns in the reports/WorkApps I'm building in.

@MHalvey You could instead have a bridge workflow automatically delete the extra columns every time a row is added maybe? Might be a little excessive though lol.

I didn't see that module in the Bridge system? Is there something I missed? Smartsheet module reference | Smartsheet Learning Center

I was thinking about using "Update Row" module to remove the data at the very least. That will help me not hit the "5 automations per row at one time" limit.

Ahh! That's a little past my knowledge of Bridge at the moment. I haven't gone past basic Smartsheet modules when creating workflows in the system. Maybe that can be V2 of my project I'm working on. 🤞🤞🤞Thank you again for your time/wisdom on this.
