We noticed you want more ways to connect with members in your own industries, and we think that’s a fantastic idea! Today, we’re excited to launch a new topic where you can engage with your peers — Industry Talk.

This is a space dedicated to the different industries, each with its own topic and badge. You will automatically receive your industry badge when you create a discussion, ask a question, or comment in the corresponding subtopic.

If you’re ready to connect, here are some ideas to get you started:

Engage in industry-related discussions, brainstorm together, and share relevant news

Love this!

Today I am a Smartsheet Partner, but I came from the Security Integration world. Think of anything related to Field Service and PPM.

The end result was building everything from internal leadership dashboards (Sales, Projects, Service, multi-regional) to external-facing customer dashboards that tracked all things for that customer. We integrated Netsuite to bridge that gap so we had no siloed data etc.

The best part for a remote workforce in vans all day is the Smartsheet mobile app, WorkAPPS, and building it in a way where the whole company lives in 1 place for not only operations but most internal processes.

Here are some examples of what we used Smartshet for: PMO, Service Tracking, QA, ISO, DCR, PTO, OFI, employee engagement, ESOP, IT Tracking, Internal regional maps, phonebooks, events, HR, onboarding and termination checklists, employee career mapping The list goes on!

We used every application in the advanced silver and gold packages including Resource Management and Brandfolder.

I am very excited about this as I am introducing the Education Aspect to my team in relation to Project Management. I want to have a platform where I can support my team members to learn and know all areas of PM besides introducing new solutions and education in regard to building key skills and abilities.

@sdunham I built a Knowledge Base Dashboard to Onboard my Intern Developers. Now, I am working on getting my IT team to set me up with Python so that I can increase the scalability of the WorkApps migration. If your Content Creators have Adobe Creative Cloud, then there is integration potential here.

With +10 years of Sales Operations and Incentive Compensation experience in HighTech. The last 3 years as a people manager of a globally distributed team in Pharma came with the blessings (as well as pain points) that come with people and tool transformations in a highly regulated environment.

Smartsheet has the ability to address common issues and I am excited with the below assignments.

1) Smartsheet Knowledge Base Dashboard (2) for Onboarding vs Stead State. Completed with medium complexity.

2) Smartsheet Knowledge Base WorkApp (2) for Onboarding vs Stead State. Design in progress with high complexity.

3) Full suite of Project Oversight from the Executive down to the Manager level and address nonexistent enablement resources. Pending completion of #2.

Smartsheet is similar to the legacy Tableau Dashboard. Tableau has pages in a click tab format whereas Smartsheet has a left-hand navigation of pages. The pages can change based on the Role access assignment.

Here is a great starting point to determine if a Dashboard or WorkApp is appropriate which is dependent on the end goal and UX. Best Practice Webinars | Smartsheet Learning Center

Topic 1 is Streamline Your Solution with WorkApps and Dashboards.

Topic 10 is Unify Your Smartsheet Solution and Drive Participation with WorkApps.

Topic 13 is Advance Automation. I try to maximize the Automation Workflows per Smartsheet object. Eventually I got an error for to large a volume of Automation Workflows assigned to a singular Smartsheet object which forced me to redesign the foundation.
