Sharing reports with data without even view access to the source sheet

    @Crown thanks for the info. Downloading the sheet completely negates hiding columns and wanting to prevent information from getting to the wrong person. I'm surprised this still hasn't been resolved by smartsheet.

    I discovered another issue — if you hide columns, you can still right click on a row and view all the values on that row. So it makes it hard to see data, but it can be seen.

    At the end of the day, a person with view access to a report still has FULL view access to the entirety of a sheet no matter what.

    I just want to upvote this for all of the above reasons people have mentioned. Allowing access to the raw data defeats the purpose of a filtered data specific report if the person can just go to the sheet and find out all the other info you have filtered out.

    2 years after this thread was started and having a similar issue. I want the report with attachments for the specific users to be usable without having to give access to the underlying sheet with other client data.

    Hello

    The main idea is to

    Split access of one sheet to different people. But not with dynamic view

    It should be something similar to sheet
    Like Report to different clients without access to original sheet?


    Is there any way to merge sheets to one sheet or use one sheet with different access? NOT Dynamic

    P.S. Data mesh isn`t comfortable too. Since it move data from combined report to sheet 1 time per hour
