Can I compare 2 columns to trigger an automation without using a helper column

I want to create an Automation that triggers when the "Actual Start Date" is greater than the "Expected Start Date" without using a helper column that stores the value of this comparison. Is that possible?

I do not think it's possible you cant trigger a workflow based on condition so you would need to have the helping column for this.
