Why is there an edit limitation while you use WorkApps?

I put all the files I need into Workapps (sheets, report & dashboard), only to find out that not all the edit functions when you use right click are available. I was trying to cell link but only a hyperlink is available when you edit your sheets at Workapps.

Thought it would more dynamic and efficient, but seems like I still have to edit the sheet completely outside the Workapps.

You're correct! Cell-linking is only available as an edit-cell option when you're in the Smartsheet application and you have access to all the other sheets you may be linking to.
