Chart Dashboard Widget using Sheet Summary data fields

It would be great to be able to use the chart widget with data held at Sheet Summary level.

Appreciate that there are 2 ways around this :

• Create a report and chart against that
• Add "helper columns" to the sheet itself

However, I'd prefer to reduce the number of new reports I'm creating, and keep sheet complexity lower with no new columns. Can't we just chart directly against the sheet summary data?

I've made it a habit to create "Summary Sheets" to allow for this. I find sometimes I need to arrange the data in a specific way that would clutter up the primary sheet. Having said that I would welcome the ability to pull data from the sheet summary to simplify the solution. Thanks for suggesting it.

It would save time so we don't have to duplicate efforts. Creating a sheet summary and then having to do it outside of the sheet to show on a dashboard is a big time waster but unfortunately a necessary evil.

Please help with this!
