Allow Count Unique Values Only In Report Column Summary

In addition to being able to count and sum a column in a report, I'd like Smartsheet to be able to count UNIQUE values within a group.

For example, I have a report shows me all tasks from multiple projects and groups by project manager. If I try to count the Project column to see how many projects each Project Manager has work on, Smartsheet returns the number of Tasks, not the number of Projects. If I could count unique values, I'd be able to get the metric I want and then create the figure I want.

Right now, I have to do a work-around using pivot tables to consolidate the data first, which is not ideal long-term.

Hi Jessica, I'm pretty sure by now you've found a solution. But just in case you haven't, I have an idea.

@Alan P. Thanks Alan! I've figured out a few different ways to do this at this point; however, I still think it would be a nice built-in report feature.
