Smartsheet Integration With Coupa

Coupa is a cloud-based business spend management (BSM) platform that helps organizations manage their spending across procurement, supply chain, and finance. Coupa provides visibility and control over how companies spend money, optimize supply chains, and manage liquidity. Coupa's platform automates approval workflows, which can save time and improve the efficiency of procurement processes.  Coupa's Procure purchasing software allows users to track and manage purchase orders in real time. Coupa's Open Buy feature streamlines business shopping across all sources, making it easier for employees to compare items and make the best choice.

My idea is to integrate the Smartsheet application with Coupa to develop strong inventory management capabilities. The data that would need to be tracked between the two applications involves product names, SKU's, quantities, locations, etc. The alerts and conditional formatting in Smartsheet would help make this inventory management adaptive. The goals of being able to set up 2D & 3D barcoding would allow users to update inventory stock in real time and be able to have both platforms to send data back and forth for seamless inventory management.

From an inventory perspective the workflow could look as simple as purchasing an item in a Coupa "punch-out", receiving it in Coupa, and having that data transferred to Smartsheet to show the updated inventory quantity. It could also work in the reciprocal as a system that would allow users to update inventories in Smartsheet and when re-order points are reached an alert is triggered to generate a requisition in Coupa for materials that need to be ordered. I can imagine additional features could act in sync with the two platforms like PO tracking for specific SKU's, Lot/Batch Tracking, and manufacturer expiration tracking.
