Smartsheet Control Center - Delete Predecessors

Hi all! I have a question about control center. I want to make a global update but it's not possible in a predecessors column.

Context:

~1200 projects already provisioned

~500 have data related to the predecessors we don't want to lose

So I THINK I can remove the predecessors from the blueprint sheet itself and then "update reporting" but I don't know if I will hurt myself.

So, does this work?

If so will I lose my data?

It looks like our Community members are hesitant to advise on a change that could impact 1,200 sheets of data, and I have to agree! (Since we cannot see your current set up or identify exactly what change you're looking to make). From this description it potentially sounds more like a per-sheet update versus a global update.

Since you're on a plan that has access to Pro Desk, I would suggest booking a session in the Support Portal so that you can share your screen and explain both your current set-up and the change you're looking to make in a private channel.
