Data Shuttle source stuck on loading external account

I am trying to connect Data Shuttle to my OneDrive but it is stuck saying "Loading…" I have let it load for a while and it seems to never change. Any ideas as to why this is?

There could be several reasons why this is. Your network security could be preventing Smartsheet from loading items from OneDrive/Sharepoint. (Usually, this can be addressed with your IT team, especially if you have multi-factor authentication set up for a MS logon that's separate from your Smartsheet logon.) You could be trying to load an incompatible file (as I recall, only .xlsx and .csv formats are supported; I don't think Old Guard .xls files are supported). The file name could be just too long. (I've had odd things happen when I get too creative with file names. I haven't found any specific Smartsheet documentation that confirms a maximum length, but I can say a good rule of thumb is to keep things under 50 characters including the file extension.) You could have an icky browser cache. (When this happened to me, I deleted the cache as part of the troubleshooting, and it worked for me.)

This is NOT a comprehensive list; it just so happens the different things I tested when I encountered this quite some time back. Good luck!

  • Thank you for your response. I was able to get it to work. I cleared my browser cache and added smartsheet.com to the allowed pop-ups in my browser settings. I also added an attachment from OneDrive to one of my sheets and was prompted to allow the file picker. I stepped a way for about an hour and when I came back, I gave it another try, and it worked. So, I'm not exactly sure what did the trick here but now it seems to be working just fine.
