Data Mesh multiple target sheets - Cell Max Limit Error
Hello all, hoping to get some input here or curious if anyone has had experience with this. Currently have a datamesh set up looking at Report (Source Sheet), that sends about 28 columns to 1 Data Processing sheet (target sheet) based off of a UID. This target sheet hits it cell limit a couple times a year and we have to Create a copy of the data processing sheet and offload the data to archived sheet and then delete rows in the current data processing sheet so then the datamesh can continue to send information to the Data processing sheet(target sheet). We are running into an issue now with the target sheet hitting its limit too fast as I think the data mesh is just reloading information that we just archived/moved out of the sheet plus net new rows to hit the cell limit faster. A possible idea I had would be to make a new datamesh that is looking at the same source sheet, but add the other versions of the target sheet into it as well. We currently have Data Processing (Target Sheets) V 1-5 right now so I am curious if I include all 5 sheets in the target sheet(s) if I will continue to run into this issue? Or if adding all Versions of the data processing sheets as target sheets, will the datamesh add new rows to each sheet Or just look at the most current version to update? How does that work?
Just some context: Data processing Report - Creative Taxonomy is the source sheet. Data processing V6 has been the target sheet of the data mesh. V 1-5 are copies of V6 that we have to make once the current version hits it cell limit. Also to note Data Processing Report Paid Search is also the source sheet in a separate datamesh process that also populates Data Processing Sheet - Set up the same way just a different source sheet.
If it is easier to jump on a call or something to explain, I am available as well or please let me know If I should include more information

Hi @ConnorForm!
To help resolve the issue you’re encountering, here are a few suggestions:
- Review DataMesh Configuration: Double-check your settings to ensure archived data isn’t being remapped. Adjust your filters or source sheet to avoid duplicates in your target sheets.
- Manage Multiple Target Sheets: If using multiple target sheets (V1-V5), keep in mind that DataMesh will update all of them if they share the same lookup values. To reduce cell limit pressure, consider only including the active version in your DataMesh process.
- Define View Options in DataMesh: When configuring DataMesh, use the Overwrite Existing Data in Target Sheets option wisely:
- Yes: Updates existing cells if values in the source change.
- No: Prevents updates to cells that already have data.
- Also, ensure you're handling duplicates appropriately using the Pick 1st Match or Ignore Entries options.
