do attachments get sent in the email from an automation?

I created an automation triggered when a row is added from a form.
the form contains also an attachment.
when the row is added I get a notification on smartsheet which includes the attachment, but the email I get does not include the attachment, is there a way to make the email include it?

You can have it send you an update request. This will give you a link to click, and from there you can get access to the attachment.
