Capture the Decline Reason for DocuSign to Smartsheet
Hello,
I am trying to use the Smartsheet DocuSign integration to keep track of the signature status. I am able to track the overall status, such as sent, delivered, completed and declined. However, when a signature is declined, DocuSign will require the signer to provide a decline reason. However, I am struggling to find a way to get this field from DocuSign back to my Smartsheet for tracking purposes.
So is there any way for me to capture the reason for decline and bring it back to my Smartsheet page?

After looking into our documentation here:
- Create and send documents for DocuSign signatures
- Send documents for signature using a mapping
- Track the status of DocuSign signature requests
From what I’ve found, the Document Builder integration mainly focuses on building the document using Smartsheet data and tracking the status of the signature request (such as sent, completed, declined), but not the decline reason. However, I agree this would be a useful feature!
When you have a moment, feel free to submit a feature request to the Product team by signing in to the online Community and creating an Idea post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic.
