Enable view selection dropdown in WorkApps

Currently it is not possible to switch between Grid, Gantt, Card and Calendar views for sheets and reports in WorkApps.

There are numbers community questions about enabling (say) Gantt view for reports, or card view for both reports and sheets, so rather than address these ad hoc, I recommend the development team enable the user to be able to select from any of the views that have been configured for a given asset (and grey out those that haven't).

Out of scope would be configuring the settings for each view type - just allow users to access any views that have been configured by a sheet admin.

We would love the ability to have Calendar view on reports in WorkApp. We are using WorkApp to display instructor schedules for higher education. Currently, we can only display the schedules are grid reports. The calendar view of the report in WorkApp would be an big improvement. We need to use WorkApps and Current User reports to restrict visibility of data for each instructor.

  • Currently reports can be viewed as Grids, Cards, Calendars, and Gantts. Only the Grid view works when using a WorkApp. It would be nice to be able to use the other views in WorkApps.
