Hello,
When creating Documents in Smartsheet or capturing data through Forms, Smartsheet currently processes dates in the background in the US in American format. Ideally, once processed, the output is in the regional settings of the Smartsheet instance. Why? Documents generated by "automations" will result in American format, not in the set regional settings.
If you re-run an automation (being a users in the regional date settings) the form does correct itself and present in the format of the user that triggered it.
For example:
I'm a user in Australia. I enter a date in DD/MM/YY.
I collect data in a form. The form triggers an automation and generates a document (PDF) with a date entered first as MM/DD/YY.
I manually go to the sheet, re-run the automation, and the new date shows DD/MM/YY.
I need my business process to show: DD/MM/YY automatically, without me going physically to re-run the automation, which is an extra unexpected step.
