Copy Row Reminder to Another, or All, Rows

In a project with multiple date columns that function as due dates, you can set up row reminders that correspond to those due date columns. This is in addition to setting up Automated Workflows that can email reminders on due dates.

But why would you want to set up row reminders in addition to using the Automation Workflow?

When you utilize the 🗓️Calendar view, you can check a setting to "Display My Reminders" on the calendar. Since my project is set up to monitor multiple due dates for separate parties (where each party is a row), I'd like to view all of the due dates on the calendar.

I can do that using row reminders! Each reminder I have manually set up will appear on the calendar as a 🔔icon on the calendar. Voila, I can visualize due dates for all rows on the Calendar.

😕However - and here's the rub and reason for the New Idea - I have to manually set up each row's reminders for them to appear on the Calendar, even though each row's reminders are for the same columns (Due Date #1, Due Date #2, etc.). Not so cool if I have a lot of rows. 😫

Currently, there is no way to copy row reminders to other rows.

Think of how you can drag a cell's formula in a spreadsheet, and the sheet intuitively changes the formula to correspond to the new row. Think of how much time that feature saves….

Ready for the idea?!?

NEW IDEA

You guessed it, I think Smartsheet should have a feature that allows users to copy row reminders to other (or all) rows, only changing the Row # to correspond to whatever row you wish to duplicate the reminders for.

Maybe that's a drag down copy-action?

Maybe it's an option within Reminders. For the UI, that might look like having the options "Copy reminder(s) to another row" or "Copy Reminders to All Rows" within Reminders, like this:

Whatever the solution, allowing users to copy row reminders cuts down on manually setting those up when all of your rows need the same exact reminders.

And remember, this is for the purpose of displaying all reminders on the Calendar:

Thank you for considering my idea!

P.S. I don't like Gantt Charts so for me that's not a solution!
