seeking best practice information for how to handle obtaining additional information from customers
Hi,
I am trying to implement a prize fulfillment process. I want to be able to add a row with information that will be passed by one of our API. From there, a trigger of a row being added will send a email with the Smartsheet form url to our customer to fill out. This form it seems will then be sent to a new sheet with that updated information; I need to make sure the customer doesn't have access to go to the sheets at all.
Then, based on that information, we may need to send out another form if the prize type for examples also needs an address, this will vary based on the prize where we may need additional information before sending out the prize. Our ultimate goal is to make the whole prize fulfillment process automated.
An example would be loyalty points automatically added to their account which I believe I would use the Smartsheet API to send info from the sheets to our service/platform. Either way, once all of the information for the prize collections is completed, I would send a final email to notify the customer that their prize is on the way. Would some assistance on this case. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
Have you explored starting with the form and continuing with the Update request feature?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

Hi Andree,
I will look into this. How would I send the email to the customer? Also, if the customer updates the form, would the sheet actually update or not? I have ran into issues with permissions. The customer should not have any access.Best,
James Huang
