Data Shuttle Automation Question
Hi, we are exploring data shuttle for a welcome kit program. Smartsheet has told me we can connect with ADP workforce now but I can't understand how automated it is. HR wants to not have to do ANYTHING. i.e. they enter a new employee's information into ADP workforce now and it automatically flows the critical info (name, hire date, etc.) into our Smartsheet for fulfillment of a new hire kit. Is that possible? I haven't dove in too deep but when I look at some resources I'm seeing that you have to upload data. So will HR have to export that data for us to upload? Or is there a way to full automate that?

So data shuttle is used for either exporting data from Smartsheet to an excel, or importing data from an excel into Smartsheet. If you can find a way to keep a static excel in the cloud (OneDrive, etc.), and have ADP offload to that automatically, then Data Shuttle can help you auto import that information into Smartsheet to begin your Smartsheet process.
I do not know enough about how ADP works to know if there would be a way to connect to their API using Bridge to automate something that way instead. But that would take someone who knows how to code that in order to do that.
