Usually report filters carry over to reports in a widget on a dashboard. However, the Current User option in report filters does not carry over. This would be very helpful in building dashboards and reports so I only have to build and maintain 1 of each rather than build multiple of each for each manager/area I want it filtered by. Is there a way that this can be built into dashboards so the current user that is viewing the dashboard has all of the report widgets that I embed on the dashboard automatically filtered to that user?
