Method for planning repeated tasks?

Hi there, I'm wondering whether there is a current method - or planned feature - that will enable users to easily create recurring tasks? I envision this either occuring as multiple dates within a single task (preferably) or by having a seperate line for each date of said task with the start date automatically occuring at a pre-specified interval.

 

Would be incredibly useful for monthly update meetings etc.

You asked for Simple and it really is for Recurring tasks. Just use the Send update Request feature and schedule it to go out at a regular time/day and keep sending it until you define the date to stop. 

That provide access to tasks for people not shared to the sheet as well as those that are.. There are more complex reminder methods but this one is nice and easy. See example graphic. Richardr
