Smartsheet Workspace to excel using the connector
Before upgrading to the next tier (where the connector exists), I want to make sure what I want to do is possible.
Can the connector pass an entire workspace to Excel, rather than individual files.
There is a workspace that contains many gantt chart files and an easy to view row summary of each chart is wanted such that it updates itself. Each new project spawns a new gantt chart file so individual referencing is still too much work.
I know that this is only possible in Smartsheet using manual referencing of the desired column for each cell so I want to send the data to excel to be modified and viewed.
Does the connector allow this behaviour?

Hello,
The Live Data Connector (ODBC driver) will push data to excel on a cell-by-cell basis.
Since Excel doesn't have Gantt chart functionality, the Gantt portion of a sheet in Smartsheet can't be displayed in Excel—you'll want to use a different application that is compatible with the ODBC driver (such as MS Project).
