VLOOKUP and Conditional Formatting

I updated our smartsheet team schedule to grab dates from my department's master schedule. However, the conditional formatting we set up that visually shows us when a project is nearing or past its due date no longer works on the VLOOKUP cells

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is this a limitation of the software? Has anyone else had this problem?

I saw another post this morning about disabling the rules and re-enabling the rules to fix some visibility issues. Give it a shot and see if that fixes it. If that fails, try recreating the rule and see if that adjusts anything.

I have seen and reported this problem during my testing of X-Sheet references.

Deleting and recreating rules (or anything else for that matter), is not a solution, unless someone from Smartsheet will be doing that for us.

Untrue story: I went to my car mechanic and explained that when I was driving down the highway between 68-70 mph, the car would start to veer to the right. She suggested I turn off the radio, open the rear windows, and if that failed, to pull into the next rest area to see if that fixed the problem. I have a new mechanic now.

Careful Craig. There's just been an update to your dashboard, so you can no longer tell whether you're doing 68-70 mph and the button for turning off the radio is now under the hood.

I was wondering why the windshield wipers came on when I tried to turn off the radio. Thanks for the heads up.

laugh True, True. Not a good solution. Things should work when you're trying to work. But who doesn't love it when you get your car fixed by your mechanic and several other problems occur as a result.

  • Yeah, it looks like it started working again after disabling and enabling again. The first step in IT!

    Thanks!

Well... not an ideal solution, but at least it's working again!
