Suppress SmartSheet Account Holder's Name
Hi,
I'm using Smartsheet as one part of an integration with JitBit, using Zapier to integrate the two.
I've created a Smartsheet form on our company intranet for managers to complete when a new person is hired.
The way it works is:
- form is populated with new hire information
- a new row is created in Smartsheet
- a new Jitbit Helpdesk ticket is created which routes to specific groups
The problem is by the time it creates the ticket, the form creator's name (mine) shows up as "logged by", essentially showing that I am the one who created the ticket, which I didn't.
I realize that this may have to be suppressed somewhere other than Smartsheet, but I wanted to check here first.
Also, if anyone out there has experience integrating Smartsheet - Zapier - JitBit, I'd love to ask a few question of you.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Not knowing the exact set up it sounds to me that either Zapier or JitBit takes the name of the owner of the account as "Logged by" and I don't think that you can remove it. My suggestion would be to add a field in the form about who created the ticket.
Would that work for you?
I hope this helps you!

Hi Andrée,
I do have a "Created by" column. I'm not sure where it's picking it up from.
Thanks though for your response.

Happy to help!
I think it's added by default for the integration(s) to work.

Four of the system columns (Modified (date), Created (date), Modified By, Created By) are always part of the Sheet, regardless of whether they are shown or not. Removing them from the Sheet display will not remove the data they contain, but they can no longer be accessed via formulas.
