Multiple Selections from a Drop Down
Hi, am creating a smartsheet to collect certain client information & documents to provide a certain service. While creating a form which could be sent to my clients, I've realised that it only allows for a single selection of a document off all the documents that I've listed in the drop down. However I need multiple documents (if not all) to process the service request.
Am I missing a trick here ? Is there are workaround ?

Hi,
there is no possibility to mark up more than one choice within forms, but if your list isn't too big, then make each selection in separate column which is formatted as a checkbox. Then add them into your webform. At least this is the way how it works in one of my tools, so maybe it will work for you as well.

If you have a longer list, you could use a third-party service like Google Forms or similar to make multiple selections.

Yes google forms is often a workaround for missing smartsheet functionality. If you want dependent dropdowns you can use google forms because smartsheet doesn't do that.

Thanks Andree, would try that solution. However would seek one more clarification as to whether the data collected via Google forms is integrable with Smartsheet as the workflow (task distribution and execution) has been set up here ?

Hi Paul, the other part would be to have 'responsive forms' (defined below) per service selected by the user.
'Responsive forms' - would have fields appear basis the primary selection, it might involve collection of multiple documents and this list could be large.

Thanks Mike, will try the Google forms feature as well. However wanted to integrate the information collected with workflow which I'd created in Smartsheet not sure if possible in Google Forms.

Yes, it is. Smartsheet integrates with Google Forms thru a connector called Smartsheet Sync.
