Hyperlink to a server (referencing cells that tell it where on the server it is)
Good morning,
When I use excel, I have the ability to combine several cells together using the "HYPERLINK" formula, and am able to get a link generated automatically where it will point to an outside server and folder I'm working with. Excel does it perfectly, but I'm using SS to track things within a team.
But it's 2 cells that control the entire path. The rest of the hyperlink is static, and doesn't change.
Is there a way to get SS to do the same thing?
The data in excel is like this.
Line 1, Column A = "290"
Line 1, Column B = "987654"
=HYPERLINK("\\server1\"&A1&"\"&B1&") = thus creating the link "\\server1\290\987654"
And since my team works in SmartSheet, and we're putting in the same data there, it would make life easier if SmartSheet would autogenerate that link. I've been searching, and I can't seem to find a solution to what seems like a simple problem to solve. Any ideas?
Thanks

If you have a web server where the files are stored then you can link, and don't need a formula. Just post the address.
Cell 1 = www
Cell 2 = google.com
=Cell1 + Cell2
Result will be a hyperlink to www.google.com
