Gantt view on a dashboard report

I'm trying to include a report with it's corresponding Gantt chart on a dashboard. The report is set to open on today's date. However, in the dashboard the Gantt chart starts in June and I can't even scroll back to today's date (see attached snapshot). Can anybody help? Thank you.

Hi Alvaro,

It's because the Gantt chart will show your range from the report, and it's not possible to have it update to today automatically in the dashboard.

Hi Nick,

You can select the range that should be in the report or hide the columns until they are needed.

Would that work?

Sorry, I got it mixed up!

The only thing you can do is to select how you'd want to see the Gantt view (Zoom In/Out). It's not possible to hide the columns.

But, why would the Gantt show dates that are not part of my project or even within the portion of the next period (i.e. month, quarter, year)?

My guess is because it gives a better sense of the schedule, maybe. Changes are coming to the Report and how it looks in Dashboards, so perhaps it will be better soon.
