Auto Refresh for Reports
I'd like to request Smartsheet look into adding the "auto-refresh" feature, currently only available on Dashboards, to Reports.
We use reports to filter columns for individuals in teams that share a sheet, but who don't need to see all the columns on that sheet. This works well, except the user is forced to save and refresh after every change to keep the source sheet in sync. Very annoying.
Thanks for consideration.

Hi Colin,
You could activate the Auto-Save feature in your Personal Settings.
Please see the attached link/screenshot for more information.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic weekend!

I appreciate the response; however, this won't work for our needs. This feature doesn't auto-save entries into reports while working from them, only when exiting them. For whatever reason, the timed auto-save and refresh only works on sheets.
Thank you, though! -
Happy to help!
It sounds like you've found a bug!

My personal settings are toggled on for auto-save, but does not auto-refresh reports. At this time, I have to open the source sheet and refresh for the conditional formatting to take effect (e.g. turning font red when the due date is in the past). Only at that point will the report and connected dashboard view be updated with the conditional formatting. Is there a setting that will auto-refresh the underlying source sheet for reports and dashboards so that the conditional formatting takes effect in real time?

This is a known bug. I'm not sure what the status to fix it is. I'm going to open a new bug report on it myself to ensure it gets some focus.

So 2019 and no fix. How about an update Smartsheet?
