Entering values into a contact column
In my dashboard reference sheet, I have a contacts column. Under this contacts column, after the table with the contacts, I have linked data from another sheet for another purpose/widget, and this works great.
I am trying to grab information from another cell in this same sheet using this formula: =[if COMPLETE]28 under the other linked data, in a Contacts Column. This does not work great, or, at all. Is there a way to make this work?
EXPLANAITION OF SCREENSHOT:
What you are seeing in the .png is the bottom of the data table that needs the contacts column on the top of the screenshot (Benjamin Donahue) then a blank cell. The blue cells are data I entered manually directly into that cell. Under "% Complete by Days", I have linked a cell, and again under Hours Completed, and also under PM Phone, which is blank. The formula quoted above is under the #CONTACT COLUMN cell.

Hi Ben,
EDIT: There wasn't a picture when I answered.
Not sure exactly what you want to do.
If you want to cell link, that looks correct.
Is that what you want to happen?
Have a fantastic week!

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to use formulas in contact columns, but it's a great idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

Cell linking works in a Contact Column though, so a workaround may be to place the formula elsewhere and then link to that cell.

Hi Andree
The introduction of Formulas in Contact Columns has unlocked a potentially very useful feature.
I have noted that is extremely flaky though.
For example I can create a formula, either a simple "=[AN Other Contact Cell]1", or something more complex like a vlookup to another sheet etc but the results are variable.
Initially the formula will return a value correctly but then when the sheet refreshes i get "#ContactColumn" Error in the contact cell containing the formula.
If i F2 Edit the cell (or copy and paste the formula back in) it works again until the page refreshes
Any Thoughts?
