Working with the Automations

Our organization is fairly new to smartsheets. We are using forms to collect data, but the hiccup that I have ran into is that I can't seem to automate a process that could flag duplicate entries, so that the individual who fills out the form, will receive an email to update their entry.

 

Not sure if this is something that is currently possible with smartsheets, or if this would entail some sort of customization?

I was able to figure out part of my dilemma. The main struggle is flagging down duplicates.

Each form has three identification questions, and I want to create an automation that will flag any  new entry that is a exact duplicate, so that we can request updates on information from the individual who is filling out the forms.

Does this make sense?
