Transferring ownership

Hello! I am an admin at workspace of the company. I can't take ownership of sheets from an existing user with business license. I have this message when trying to get ownership: You cannot take ownership of this item because the current user is not in your organization.

Can you please help to solve this problem?

Is the user that owns the sheets in your organization/in your account?

What access do you have to the individual sheets?

Hi Andrée,

The user is actually in my organization but i cannot see the button "Make me the owner".

These sheets are placed in workspace shared with all team. I have admin access to these sheets.

You have Admin access to both the Workspace and the sheets, correct?

Are you selecting one and not multiple sheets?

Yes, I have admin access and I selected only one sheet.

Who owns the Workspace where the sheet is located? If it is you, when you go to the Share options in the sheet, try removing the current owner of the sheet and see if that works.
