Row Sharing- visibility, edit, comment on Attachments

We have implemented a new process for our Development team and Clients and have run into the following issues:

 

- Is it possible to share multiple rows and 'zip' all the attachments in the rows? I do not want to allow access to the full sheet or the Dropbox for the files.

- For shared rows, we need them to be able to comment and upload files; do they need sheet access for this?

 

Would a report work better for what I'm trying to do?

 

In reviewing other discussions, I don't want to create a new sheet for every user on a project based on work to be done, yet I don't want to provide them access to the full monte either.

Have you tried using web forms or update requests?

Update requests didn't work for what we needed. I'm not sure how a web form would work if they need to see attachments/comments.

The web form allows you to upload an attachment as another way to get the document into the sheet you're tracking.  It sounds to me like you might need some sort of guidance on the workflow overall..have you thought about talking to Smartsheet's design desk as they're extremely helpful?  Here's a link to check out..
